Fine article, thx. I suspected something is wrong when I found that "readonly" keyword is prohibited for local variables. Java is more intuitive in this sense since it will not compile an analog of the first example at all, explicitly showing that you could shoot yourself in the foot. Can't find any reasons why MS haven't done the same.
